Lillian Barnes Johnson
Plainfield – Lillian Barnes Johnson, 68, died on February 3, 2010 at Overlook Hospital. Born in Steubenville, Ohio, Mrs. Johnson resided in Plainfield for 42 years coming from Newark.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Jehovah Witness's where she was in the full time ministry for 23 years. She was also employed with the Newark Board of Ed for a short time after her marriage and worked as a stenographer.
She was predeceased by her son Charles Johnson Jr, and her brother David Barnes. Lillian is survived by her husband Charles, her son David and his wife Wanda, her daughter Nicole Johnson, her sisters Dr. Alvera H. Barnes, Marylinda Bryant, Carletta Barnes, and her granddaughter Jaunai Nicole Staton.
Funeral service will be held at Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Woodland Avenue, Plainfield on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Avenue, Fanwood. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains
